You can enjoy several types of golf at the beautiful Haigh Woodland Park, from our challenging 18-hole and 9-hole courses to family-friendly adventure golf, crazy golf and even footgolf!

Enjoy a round of golf on one of our two pleasant parkland courses.

The 18 hole, 6,000-yard Balcarres Course is challenging enough for the competitive golfer while still providing a fun round for those who are less experienced. Meanwhile, the 9-hole Crawford Course is ideal for those wanting to work on their form or fit a quick game into their busy schedule.

Open daily, 7am – dusk, to club members and visitors. Prices vary at different times and seasons, but ‘regular players will get the best value with a golf membership ‘season tickets’ offer the best value.

Adventure golf

‘Putt’ your skills to the test on our fun, 18-hole woodland-themed adventure golf course featuring mini bunkers, water traps and even a Viking longboat!

Suitable for all the family, with wheelchair-accessible block-paved paths. Open daily, 9am – 5pm (last entry 3.30pm). No need to book – just turn up and play!

Open 11am-4pm on weekends between Easter and October and every day during the spring, summer and autumn school holidays, our volunteer-run 18-hole crazy golf course is great value fun for all the family – with dinosaurs, a windmill, a lighthouse, pirates and more! Managed and maintained by the Friends of Haigh Woodland Park, with all proceeds re-invested into the park.

Just £1 per player including clubs, balls and a scoreboard. No need to book, just turn up and pay to play. Private group bookings are also available outside of the usual opening hours.

Footgolf

If you like football and golf, you’ll get a real kick out of footgolf! Bring a ball and test your accuracy on our 9-hole course, suitable for all the family.

Includes a mix of straightforward and more challenging holes, all with stunning views of Haigh Woodland Park. Open daily 10am-5pm, April to October.

Play golf at Pennington Flash

You can also enjoy a round of golf at Pennington Flash Nature Reserve in Leigh, where you’ll find a 9-hole municipal course with a mix of par 3, par 4 and par 5 holes.

Pennington Golf Club is based at the course, but bookings are open to members and non-members alike.
