Love your
local park

Our parks and green spaces are wonderful places to explore, relax, be active, connect with nature, and spend time with family and friends.

Beautiful spaces for our communities

With more than 35 urban parks and formal gardens to visit, Wigan Borough has a lot to offer; from leisurely walks and days out, to play areas, family fun days and events.

No fewer than five of our parks hold Green Flag status, recognising them as among the very best green spaces in the country.

You can also enjoy tennis, bowls and other organised activities such as outdoor exercise classes, while there are community allotments and plots to hire across the borough.
