Wigan Borough’s Elite Swim Team, ‘Wigan BEST’, offers young people a route into the world of competitive swimming. Our talented squad is among the best in the country, regularly competing and winning on the regional and national stage.

How it works…

Our Wigan BEST coaches support young athletes at community swimming clubs to work towards times that would put them into consideration for county, regional and national championships, with the most promising swimmers being invited to trials for squad selection.

The ultimate goal for those in the highest ability groups is to achieve regional and national swimming success – but, whatever your child’s swimming level and ambitions, being part of Wigan BEST is a fun, exciting and fulfilling experience.
