No diets. No fads. Just honest, evidence-based advice.

When it comes to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight, you’ll find you get the best results by combining a balanced diet with increased levels of activity in a way that fits with your day-to-day routine.

There are many ways to become more active, whether it’s hitting the gym, playing your favourite sport, or simply taking a stroll around your local park.

At Be Well, we’ve lots of things you can try – from group exercise classes and fun-focussed sports sessions to Couch to 5k and our many free walking and cycling activities.

Making informed choices

When it comes to your diet, even small, simple changes can make a real difference.

We have a range of downloadable resources covering a variety of nutrition-related topics to help you make the best choices for your health.

You can also find physical copies of these resources at your local Wigan Borough library – please speak to a member of the library team.

Meanwhile, the official NHS website has plenty of advice on achieving a healthy, balanced diet.
