We’re hosting our next Health and Wellbeing Open Day at Hindley Leisure Centre on Wednesday 29 October (10am-2pm), in partnership with Hindley Primary Care Network and Health First AWL CIC.

You can get a FREE ‘health MOT’ and speak to a whole range of local health and wellbeing services about many different topics.

All ages welcome, no appointment necessary – just pop in anytime between 10am-2pm for:

  • Blood pressure checks by NHS GP assistants
  • Carbon monoxide screening
  • Body composition scans
  • Information and advice
  • FREE Full NHS Health Check for eligible residents* (see eligibility criteria below)

Are you eligible for a FREE NHS health check?

Eligible residents will be able to get a FREE full NHS health check or mini health check without an appointment.

Full NHS Health Check

To identify early signs of major health issues like heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, and dementia. 
Eligibility: Free for most adults aged 40-74 who have not had a check in the past five years and have no pre-existing conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes. Click here for the full list.
Includes: Lifestyle and family history questions, blood pressure, height, weight, and waist measurements, blood test to check cholesterol and blood sugar levels, personalised advice on reducing risk.
