An active, healthy heart…

Exercise has many positive effects on heart health. Combined with a healthy diet, it can help you maintain a healthy weight, lower your blood pressure, and reduce your risk of heart disease and other conditions such as diabetes.

Physical activity can reduce stress hormones that can place an extra burden on your heart, while studies have also shown that people who exercise regularly are less likely to suffer a sudden heart attack or other life-threatening cardiac events.

Being active after a cardiac event or heart surgery is equally important. Your rehabilitation should incorporate a range of exercises and activities of moderate to vigorous intensity to help prevent future problems.

Cardiac rehabilitation

We work closely with clinical partners to provide cardiac rehabilitation programmes for people who have undergone heart surgery, had a heart attack or other cardiac event, or been diagnosed with a condition such as heart failure.

Our specialist team will build a personalised exercise and support programme built to your specific circumstances and needs, with the aim of helping you get back to enjoying as full and active life as possible.
